What is involved in using an antenna to pick up a UHF station 35 miles away?
I live in a townhouse attached to other town homes. There is only ONE station that I’m interested in getting using an antenna. It is a UHF station – 49.2. It is coming from a station that is about 35 miles away.
Should I be thinking about an indoor or outdoor antenna. I have no idea how this works. Do people set up antennas on their porch or is that a waste of time. Is the idea to put it up high like on the roof? I have no way to get to the roof. And also, if I use an outdoor antenna, how do I connect it from the outside to the TV which is in the house? How does the cable come in from the outside when the door and windows are closed?
I have been told that another television station which is on the same latitude line as me and about equal distance to the tv station that sends 49.2, is able to pick up 49.2 from them. I don’t know if that makes a difference. I’m just trying to figure out what my chances are of getting this station.
